West Hollywood Transportation and Walkable Areas

All of us locals know what a walkable city West Hollywood is —with its Melrose Avenue, Santa Monica Blvd, and The Sunset Strip.  We just came across this wonderful article by Tracy Pattin.  She writes about all things WeHo, and lays out West Hollywood transportation options from its core to some of L.A.’s most famous landmarks.  This article can be found at Visit West Hollywood. By Tracy Pattin: West Hollywood is known as “The Most Walkable City” (Walk Score 2011) and the fourth most walkable city in the nation. You can come here on vacation, tuck your car away in your hotel garage (most likely you’re staying at a hotel on the Sunset Strip or nearby) and stroll to great restaurants,

Rain in Los Angeles! We Embrace it with Open Arms.

Rain in  Los Angeles!  We definitely need it.  Last season, the rain in Los Angeles was a measly 3.5 inches for the year.  Normally, our amazing Santa Monica Mountains, and San Gabriel Mountains are green and lush and provide a beautiful backdrop to our city.  Our first big storm in two years is due to arrive this Wednesday.  By big, the weather service predicts 1 to 2 inches of rain.  Glitterati Tours provides tours of Los Angeles on rainy days, for some guests prefer to see the city when amusement venues and outdoor shopping areas are less-desirable. From Los Angeles Times Online: The dry, summer-like weather that has gripped Los Angeles will start to change Tuesday ahead of two much-needed

Los Angeles to Palm Springs — Enjoying a Day Trip or Over-Nighter

Los Angeles is the perfectly centered city, with day trips or over-nighters to Santa Barbara, San Diego and Palm Springs all very doable. Driving distance from Los Angeles to Palm Springs is approximately 2 hours.   Palm Springs has always been a popular destination this time of year for snowbirds from the Midwest and East Coast escaping the cold.  Our favorite time of the year to travel from Los Angeles to Palm Springs is in the middle of summer, when temperatures soar well above 100 degrees.  It’s a dry heat, and one always has access to an air-conditioned car or hotel, a cool pool, or sidewalk misters along the main corridors. Some of our favorite hotels include The Viceroy Palm

TripAdvisor Guests Recommended Tour Company in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills

We thank our guests that have made us a highly recommended tour company in Los Angeles across the internet, including the amazing sites such as TripAdvisor and Yelp. Also we needed to get to our hotel in Santa Monica afterwards and couldn’t check in until 3pm, so this made real efficient use of our time and got our mini vacation going right away. After reading the reviews I contacted Glitterati Tours. I got a speedy reply followed with a phone conversation from Jimmie. He asked what things were important to us,
