25 New Los Angeles Restaurants

Between conducting tours and trying to stay in shape, it’s impossible to hit all the new Los Angeles restaurants.  As tour guides in L.A., we try to keep up on the hottest places to eat and the famous chefs behind the menu.  However, quite a few places slip through the cracks, especially when they’re in the surrounding areas of Silverlake, Downtown, Koreatown, Marina Del Rey, and Pasadena.  That’s why we rely on some great articles like this Zagat list from Lesley Balla to keep up on Los Angeles restaurants and current openings:

Independence, Lunasia Dim Sum House, Ramen Champ, Tomato Pie Pizza Joint, Simmzy’s Burbank, 800 Degrees, Manichi Ramen, Sweeney’s Ale House, The Little Easy, Verve Coffee Roasters, Rocco’s Tavern, The District by Hannah An, Steak and Whiskey, Fogo de Chao (2nd location for AYCE in L.A.  The other one is located on La Cienega’s Restaurant Row in Beverly Hills) Salt, Der Wolfskopf, Charcoal BBQ, Mexicano and Flautus, Continental, Ashland Hill, Dune, Knuckle and Claw, Augustine, Public School 818, and Birch.
