Outdoor Summer Music Venues in Los Angeles

Outdoor Summer Music Venues in Los Angeles! There are a few things Los Angeles never runs short of – two of them being beautiful weather and music. The summer solstice may have just passed, but there are plenty of long days ahead to enjoy. Lucky for those in L.A. during this time the city offers many places to listen to live music during the evening. Jazz Night on Friday evenings at the Los Angeles’s Museum of Contemporary Art (LACMA) is a favorite among our staff here at Glitterati. The evening offers a beautiful view of the famous “Urban Light” exhibit which features two hundred and two cast iron street lamps from historic Los Angeles. Nearby is the restaurant Ray’s and Stark if

What’s happening in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills recently, and in the near future?  Quite a bit, as always.  The Los Angeles area welcomes a handful of new hotels including The Hotel Figueroa in Downtown Los Angeles, The Dream Hotel in Hollywood, and The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in Beverly Hills.  The Waldorf is the latest in luxury in the heart of Beverly Hills.  Their general neighbors include The Peninsula, The Montage Beverly Hills, The Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, The SLS, The Beverly Wilshire Hotel and The Hotel Bel Air.  The Waldorf shares a lot with the legendary Beverly Hilton Hotel, once known as the Merv Griffin Hotel, and the annual host of The Golden Globe Awards (sadly,

With television threatening the movie industry in the 50’s, we also include famous studios like Desilu, with

Celebrity Sightings in Hollywood and Beverly Hills

It’s Los Angeles after all, so we get asked all the time where are the best celebrity sighting locations in Hollywood and Beverly Hills?!  Our solid answer is EVERYWHERE. Just about everyday during our celebrity homes tours of Beverly Hills and Bel Air, our guides are able to point out celebrities driving, walking the dog, and collecting their mail…just like everyone else.  As always, we never publish these sightings for anyone at or near their homes. However, we’re happy to discuss any celebrity that’s in a public place (other than a hotel we work with which thrives on privacy), that can include restaurants, bars, nightclubs, movie theaters, house parties, dry cleaners, etc. Is it an invasion of privacy?   Good

Tam O’Shanter Restaurant and Walt Disney

The historic Tam O’Shanter Restaurant and Walt Disney go hand-in-hand.  After all, this legendary restaurant in the Atwater Village section of Los Angeles wasn’t too terribly far from the old original Disney Studio on Hyperion Avenue.  The Tam was where Walt and his talented team of animators, and eventually his Imagineers, could conduct business and enjoy the awesomeness that is Tam O’Shanter.  In fact, when pulling up to Tam, you can actually see an incredible resemblance to the cottage in the classic Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. Recently, Glitterati Tours of Beverly Hills, had the pleasure of a private tour by the General Manager, John and a Disney expert.  What a treat.  They even shared stories of this wonderful

Book Your Los Angeles Summer Vacations Now

It’s that time of year when Glitterati Tours reminds potential visitors to book their Los Angeles summer vacations NOW! As mentioned in previous posts, tourism across the United States, as of now, is very hard to predict.  Analysts have noted noticeable cancelations or a slow-down in pre-bookings from some of our biggest markets, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.  In some cases, this also coincides with a strong dollar, with other world-wide destinations offering up a bigger bang for the buck for travelers. There’s no way to know what summer will bring? It has certainly been an erratic calendar since November.  Even this last month, we had the opposite in scheduling as March came in like a lamb and
