West Hollywood Traffic alert issued for Obama visit

From the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce: WEST HOLLYWOOD – President Barack Obama will be in the Los Angeles area on Monday, September 26, 2011, attending two separate events. One event will be held at the House of Blues in the City of West Hollywood and the second event will be held nearby in Los Angeles. Expect street closures and major traffic delays throughout the afternoon and evening in the City of West Hollywood and surrounding areas. Please plan ahead to avoid any inconvenience. All first responder resources and efforts are being coordinated through the United States Secret Service. Los Angeles County Fair

The Success of Glitterati Tours out of LAX, Los Angeles International Airport

The response has been overwhelming for visitors taking tours during their layover at LAX.  Since offering up this service in July, guests with limited time in the city and only a few hours in between flights at Los Angeles International Airport, have taken advantage of our private roundtrip sightseeing tours of L.A. Walking in West Hollywood

Growing up in Los Angeles, you would never think about hopping on a bike or hoofing it to the store.  The city was really built around the automobile.  Even the group Missing Persons sang the chorus, “Nobody Walks in L.A.”  This is slowly changing.  In fact, West Hollywood was just named the most walk-friendly city in California. At 1.9 square miles and just over 35,000 residents, nestled between Beverly Hills and Hollywood, West Hollywood is a spectacular city.
