405 Freeway Closure on July 15th, 16th and 17th

Just a heads up to anyone traveling in Los Angeles on the evening of Friday, July 15th through early Monday, July 18th.  The northbound 405 Freeway between the 10 Freeway and the 101 Freeway will be completely closed down due to construction.   The southbound section will alsobe closed for about 4 miles beginning at the 101 Freeway.   EXPECT MAJOR DELAYS.  The 405 is one of the busiest freeways in the nation, and the traffic from this closure will spill over into just about every community in the valley and the westside.  Most locals are being told to stay local and to avoid travel.  Both the Getty Center and the Skirball Cultural Center will be closed during this time period.
