Enjoy the many 4th of July events around Los Angeles!
4th of July events around Los Angeles are numerous. Check out the 2 bowls — The Hollywood Bowl and The Rose Bowl, among dozens of others great spots.
- Join multi-platinum selling recording artists, Pentatonix, at The Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, July 4th. The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra will back up the group as they perform patriotic music, followed by a fireworks display.
- The Rose Bowl will have all day celebrations. Get there as early as 2pm for the kids to enjoy the best in 4th of July food offerings, jumping castles, games and crafts. Fireworks shoot off at 9PM.
- Marina Del Rey will have their annual fireworks display starting at 9PM. Same as above—get there early to avoid the mass of people making their way to the beach and stay later, or you’ll get caught in some horrific traffic. Also, hope there’s no marine layer. A few years back, we took a boat on the ocean with the fireworks exploding overhead. Problem was, the ocean fog was so thick, that the fireworks exploded over the clouds. Plus, it then took us about 4 hours to get out the community to make our way back home afterwards (normally a 40 minute drive).
- Take the subway down to Grand Park in Downtown Los Angeles to enjoy fireworks and a block party. Pack a picnic or enjoy the tons of great bars and restaurants in the general area. This is a family-fun FREE event.
- Dodger Stadium will have a fireworks display after their baseball game.
- If staying at wonderful hotels like The Montage Beverly Hills, The London West Hollywood, The Peninsula, The Sixty, The W Hollywood, or The Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, make sure to check with the desk and see about getting rooftop access for 360 degree views of the city and the many, many fireworks shows.
Remember, most communities around Los Angles forbid home fireworks displays. Especially any area around our dry hills.
Most importantly, be safe, and remember to take care of dogs and cats during the most stressful time of year for them. Already hearing of dogs busting through home windows or chewing through a fence to escape the confusing sounds of firecrackers and explosions. A few of us at Glitterati will be on dog patrol with our furry best friends, and carrying extra leases to strap up and comfort any stray dogs roaming the neighborhood.
Glitterati Private Tours of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills will be open and providing tours on the 4th of July, as well as all major holidays.
