Ace Hotel to open in 2013 in the old United Artists Building

The beautiful Spanish Gothic style United Artists Building in Downtown L.A. will become an Ace Hotel, which has a scheduled opening for the summer in 2013.  The original building was built in 1927 to show the films of United Artists, the production company started by superstars, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Charlie Chaplin, and D.W. Griffith.  If you’ve never been to an ACE Hotel, they are super hip and stylish.  The finished hotel should have about 180 rooms, a pool, a bar, a restaurant, and of course, a 1,600 seat theater.  This venue is walking distance to our convention center, Staples Center, The Nokia Theater and L.A. Live.  Tours and places to stay in Los Angeles Ace HotelGreat to see the continued gentrification of our downtown.
