Hollywood Walk of Fame 2019

The Hollywood Walk of Fame has seen a flurry of activity over the last few months.  In a very short timespan, we’ve had Eric McCormack from Will & Grace, Weird Al Yankovic, Simon Cowell, Jennifer Garner, Niecy Nash, and Jeff Goldblum get their stars.  In fact, look for Jack Black live on the boulevard September 18th, 2018, as he receives the 2645th star on the block. The Hollywood Walk of Fame 2019 list of inductees has been released, and as always, it’s a who’s who in the world of entertainers and those that have contributed to the business.  Here’s a short list from the official Walk of Fame website for the 5 categories represented: In the category of Motion Pictures,

Sweets and Desserts in Los Angeles

Whether you worked on having a summer beach body or not (I didn’t), we’re heading into the most wonderful time of year – the seasons of indulgence when we can enjoy our hibernation weight.  It could be all the goodies centered around Halloween, the huge Thanksgiving meal and left-overs, and the holidays and endless parties in December/January. Here’s a handful of our favorite sweets and desserts in Los Angeles for both locals and visitors: For chocolates look into John Kelly Chocolates on Sierra Bonita in Hollywood. They’ve got their small factory right on site.  They have selections for both dark and milk chocolate lovers.  Some of our favorites include the dark chocolate with sea salt and caramel, and the orange chocolate.

L.A. County Fair in Pomona, California

As a kid growing up in the Pomona/LaVerne area, this time of year meant two things – going back to school, and the L.A. County Fair.  The tough school part was always softened as our teachers gave every single student a free ticket to attend the fair that was always provided by the venue. It’s that time of year again.  The L.A. County Fair has been wowing folks since 1922.  A lot has changed over the years, but the fair still has something for all age groups.  A few attractions this year include The Millard Sheets Art Center Presents Alt 66, Haunted 66, eSports Gaming World, Retro City Arcade, The Mother Road (Exploring all 8 states tied to Route 66),

Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Real Estate Tour

A big part of our job at Glitterati Tours is keeping up to date on real estate.  It’s a must for our wildly popular celebrity homes tours as well as our “Underbelly LA” scandals tour.  Our research delves into the history of particular homes, their well-known owners, and the listing and selling prices. But, we can’t possibly know the ins and outs of every aspect of the ever-changing real estate market for potential buyers interested in purchasing homes in the general Los Angeles area. Because of this, we’ve teamed up with a professional real estate agent name Frank Andriolo.  He works with Sotheby’s, which is one of the most respected and prestigious real estate companies in the country.  Frank has

Vintage Vibe Festival Los Angeles

While Los Angeles is a city full of trends, there are certain things that never go out of style – and ironically right now, trendy meets the past with the current wave of vintage obsessions. Whether in media with shows like “Stranger Things,” music, or clothing, people love their vintage and love bragging about the diamonds in the rough they found digging through a second-hand store. The love of vintage doesn’t stop with film and clothes though.  Vintage games, and even drink recipes are popping up all over Los Angeles (and let’s be real, the world). L.A. finally found a way to bring all of this vintage love together by putting together something else the city loves: a festival! This

Dance Downtown Los Angeles 2018

Summer may be winding down now that Labor Day has passed, but the days are still warm here in Los Angeles. And let’s be honest, this city doesn’t get that chilly in the “off season” anyway. We never slow down here, so if you find yourself visiting just after the summer frenzy, don’t fret when trying to extend your vacation with shorts and tank tops weather time, there is still plenty for you to do and explore around the city. Since summer continues here well beyond Labor Day, there are some ongoing summer events that have a few more nights before they take a break for the chillier Autumn evenings. This includes the Dance Downtown Los Angeles 2018 series put

Visiting Los Angeles in the Fall

We may be jumping the gun, but Fall is in the air.  It could just be wishful thinking because our summer has been a hot one and we’re all excited for some cooler weather — even though Los Angeles is known for being a city without seasons. Temperatures will surely start to cool down.  If not in September, then by October/November. It’s also a fantastic time to visit the city.  With our holiday weekend next week (Labor Day on September 3rd), locals will enjoy their last big beach excursion before heading back to school and work.  That means there will be far less people at the beach come that Tuesday. Glitterati Tours has a beach tour called the “Coastal Access” tour

Celebrity Homes Tours and Sightings in Beverly Hills

CELEBRITY HOMES TOURS AND SIGHTINGS IN BEVERLY HILLS AND HOLLYWOOD _______________________________________ When traveling to different cities and countries, everyone has their own personal bucket list to check off.  In Italy, it may be the canals of Venice, that leaning tower in Pisa, the statue of David, the Coliseum, or dining on great pizza and wine…among 1000’s of other amazing experiences and venues throughout the country. We’re in Los Angeles, and so much of what we do focuses around the celebrity history that helped build our city. It could be the legendary studios where they worked, the homes where they lived, the places they frequent for partying and dining, the locations they died, and ultimately—the places where they are laid to rest.

BOLD SUMMER in Beverly Hills

Yes, the daytime highs have been taking their toll.  Most days so far in July and August have been in the high 80’s, 90’s, and even some have topped out at over a 100.  However, there’s few things better than summer nights in Los Angeles. Once that sun dips down over the Santa Monica Mountain Range and drops lower on the horizon in the Pacific Ocean, it’s near perfect.  Plus, there’s no pesky bugs! One still has 2 more weeks to enjoy BOLD in Beverly Hills.  The annual event has businesses open with extended hours throughout the 90210.  Most of this event takes place on Rodeo Drive, but look for much more in the entire Golden Triangle of shopping and dining.
