Batman Exhibit at Hollywood Museum

Batman Exhibit at The Hollywood Museum

_____________________

There’s a handful of popular museums near the corner of Hollywood and Highland.  You’ve got Madame Tussauds, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Musuem, Guinness World Records Museum, The Hollywood Wax Museum, The Museum of Broken Relationships and even The Museum of Death (about ½ mile down Hollywood Boulevard).  One of our favorites and certainly of our guests, is The Hollywood Museum.

The Hollywood Museum is located in the historic Max Factor Building.  It’s where Max made up the leading ladies with the latest and greatest in hair and makeup.  Joan, Bette, Marilyn and Lucy all spent time in his chairs.  See all the incredible screen history here with real props, sets, and costumes.

Currently on display is the first ever Batman exhibit at the museum.  Titled Batman ’66, Burt Ward (Robin from the TV series) worked together with collectors to bring a must-see experience for fans.  There are 4 sections in the show, Wayne Manor, The Batcave, Gallery of Super Villains, and Collectibles.  To top of the hundreds of items on display, look for the Batmobile, Batcycle, and even the original Batman and Robin costumes.

If President and Founder, Donelle, is in house, say hello.  She’s obviously a wealth of information on all things-Hollywood and a joy to be around.  Glitterati Tours of Los Angeles was lucky enough for a private tour a few years back along with the Los Angeles Concierge Association, and Donelle was a most generous host.

NOTE: If you’re a super-fan of Batman, make sure to go north into the hills and visit the Bronson Caves.  It was the filming site used for the Batcave in the TV series.
