Christmas at The Beverly Hills Hotel and Polo Lounge

Built in 1912, The Beverly Hills Hotel is just as luxurious, glamorous, and desired as it was 107 years ago.  It was known as “the hotel between the city and the sea,” because it was almost perfectly centered between Downtown Los Angeles and Santa Monica.  Plus, it gave those looking for real estate in the old lima bean fields, a place to spend the night as they looked for the perfect property to build a home.  A few years later, the hotel would have famous neighbors like Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. The legendary Polo Lounge is a must for anyone staying at, or visiting the property.  A few of us just made our annual

Just north of Dodger Stadium and Downtown Los Angeles sits the Heritage Square Museum — a living history museum highlighting life in Southern California in its first 100 years as a state. The property has plenty to see with actual structures from the Victorian era that have been saved, preserved, and moved to the location. The structures offer up a picturesque 1800’s town just 2 miles away from the skyscrapers of Downtown Los Angeles. Living museum, you ask?  Yes!  The museum staff are working, acting, and living as if they were back at

Tam O’Shanter Restaurant and Walt Disney

The historic Tam O’Shanter Restaurant and Walt Disney go hand-in-hand.  After all, this legendary restaurant in the Atwater Village section of Los Angeles wasn’t too terribly far from the old original Disney Studio on Hyperion Avenue.  The Tam was where Walt and his talented team of animators, and eventually his Imagineers, could conduct business and enjoy the awesomeness that is Tam O’Shanter.  In fact, when pulling up to Tam, you can actually see an incredible resemblance to the cottage in the classic Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. Recently, Glitterati Tours of Beverly Hills, had the pleasure of a private tour by the General Manager, John and a Disney expert.  What a treat.  They even shared stories of this wonderful
