LA Pride 2018

LA Pride 2018 is less than a week away.  In fact, many consider it pride week, or pride month, so there’s no shortage of festivities.  The big day is Sunday, June 10th.  The day can start with a fun local brunch before the LA Pride Parade hits Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood at 11AM.  The parade usually travels from Crescent Heights to Doheny, so there’s plenty of viewing areas.  If you plan on setting up chairs, arrive early enough to stake your claim. This year’s theme is #JUSTBE.  Everyone is welcome so one doesn’t have to be in the LGBTQ community.  By everyone, just no pets, unless they’re service animals. The actual festival takes place on Saturday, June 9th from

Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles

Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles As we wrap up the summer season at The Hollywood Bowl, the L.A. Philharmonic flies south (about 17 minutes) to their winter home at The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles. This is an amazing venue, and certainly one of the most photographed structures for visitors coming to L.A. This Frank Ghery designed building must be seen in person and on foot. We recommend walking around the entire building to fully understand the dimensions and architecture. Opened about this same time back in 2003, it’s become an incredibly iconic building, not only in DTLA (Downtown L.A.) but all of Southern California. The LA Phil, with Gustavo Dudamel as their Music
