Visiting Los Angeles in the Fall

We may be jumping the gun, but Fall is in the air.  It could just be wishful thinking because our summer has been a hot one and we’re all excited for some cooler weather — even though Los Angeles is known for being a city without seasons. Temperatures will surely start to cool down.  If not in September, then by October/November. It’s also a fantastic time to visit the city.  With our holiday weekend next week (Labor Day on September 3rd), locals will enjoy their last big beach excursion before heading back to school and work.  That means there will be far less people at the beach come that Tuesday. Glitterati Tours has a beach tour called the “Coastal Access” tour

Celebrity Homes Tours and Sightings in Beverly Hills

CELEBRITY HOMES TOURS AND SIGHTINGS IN BEVERLY HILLS AND HOLLYWOOD _______________________________________ When traveling to different cities and countries, everyone has their own personal bucket list to check off.  In Italy, it may be the canals of Venice, that leaning tower in Pisa, the statue of David, the Coliseum, or dining on great pizza and wine…among 1000’s of other amazing experiences and venues throughout the country. We’re in Los Angeles, and so much of what we do focuses around the celebrity history that helped build our city. It could be the legendary studios where they worked, the homes where they lived, the places they frequent for partying and dining, the locations they died, and ultimately—the places where they are laid to rest.

BOLD SUMMER in Beverly Hills

Yes, the daytime highs have been taking their toll.  Most days so far in July and August have been in the high 80’s, 90’s, and even some have topped out at over a 100.  However, there’s few things better than summer nights in Los Angeles. Once that sun dips down over the Santa Monica Mountain Range and drops lower on the horizon in the Pacific Ocean, it’s near perfect.  Plus, there’s no pesky bugs! One still has 2 more weeks to enjoy BOLD in Beverly Hills.  The annual event has businesses open with extended hours throughout the 90210.  Most of this event takes place on Rodeo Drive, but look for much more in the entire Golden Triangle of shopping and dining.

Tocaya Organica Restaurant Sunset Strip

Los Angeles has no shortage of great restaurants for Mexican cuisine. Around almost every corner there is a great sit down restaurant or a taco stand that has great food. We love our Taco Tuesday’s here so the demand is high! Even our taco places all have styles of their own. Hotel Spotlight: The Beverly Wilshire Hotel

A legendary property in one of the most recognizable cities in the United States!  The Beverly Wilshire Hotel was completed in 1928.  Its name has changed slightly over the years, and some visitors still refer to it as The Regent Beverly Wilshire.  Since 1992, it’s commonly called A Four Seasons Hotel, Beverly Wilshire (not to be confused with its sister hotel a few blocks away, The Four Seasons Los Angeles Hotel at Beverly Hills). The Beverly Wilshire Hotel’s guest list is long and impressive.  Notable names include Warren Beatty, John Lennon, Elvis Presley, President Barack Obama, and countless royal families from around the globe. The hotel sits perfectly centered in the 90210 zip code.  Its intersections include Wilshire Blvd. and

The Original Farmers Market in Hollywood

For over 84 years, The Original Farmers Market in Hollywood has been a local favorite.  Even their tagline is “Meet Me at Third and Fairfax.”  It’s at this intersection in 1934 that local farmers were invited to sell their goods off the back of trucks.  Soon after, merchants and grocers joined in, and opened permanent kiosks or stalls that acted as their restaurants and stores. Since that time, it’s remained a must-visit for neighbors, celebrities, and of course travelers to our city.  Everyone has visited this corner including Frank Sinatra, President Dwight Eisenhower, Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Shirley Temple, and The Beatles. To this day, you can still see your favorite celebs.  In fact, there’s a handful of tables by Bob’s

Freehand New York Hotel

As tour guides for Los Angeles, 99% of our energy and focus is going to be on our great city, as well as the amazing surrounding areas like Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica, Malibu and Hollywood.  We want to make sure guests LOVE our town as much as we do… but we too love to travel, so every now and then we’ll share our experiences on this blog about cities, venues, restaurants and things to do outside of our general circumference.   A few of us recently traveled to NY to see our friend Tuc Watkins in The Boys in the Band on Broadway (shows available through at least August 11th, 2018!).   We stayed at a fantastic hotel
