It’s Los Angeles after all, so we get asked all the time where are the best celebrity sighting locations in Hollywood and Beverly Hills?! Our solid answer is EVERYWHERE.
Just about everyday during our celebrity homes tours of Beverly Hills and Bel Air, our guides are able to point out celebrities driving, walking the dog, and collecting their mail…just like everyone else. As always, we never publish these sightings for anyone at or near their homes. However, we’re happy to discuss any celebrity that’s in a public place (other than a hotel we work with which thrives on privacy), that can include restaurants, bars, nightclubs, movie theaters, house parties, dry cleaners, etc.
Is it an invasion of privacy? Good question. Some may say it comes with the territory of choosing a profession that is always welcome and thrives on the public eye and the publicity machine. Without fans…and now social media…a star needs the constant attention to stay in the “sphere” of adulation. Think of mega A-List celebs like Meryl Streep, who leads a quiet life on the east coast without paparazzi and scandals, and compare it to the Kardashian’s that need the machine to ‘keep up’ their movements in the news.
This isn’t a new thing. Back in 1920 when silent film stars Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks married, their home “PickFair” in Beverly Hills was known the world over. Postcards were made, and early tourists in Los Angeles needed to see the home that was far more famous than our White House in that era. Because of the Pickford/Fairbanks residence, many other famous names like Harold Lloyd, Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin moved into the general vicinity of Beverly Hills. This area also included the major studio mogul, Jack Warner from Warner Bros.
Back to current hotspots:
Craig’s Restaurant on Melrose Avenue is always an A-list parade. Look for everyone here, from the Kardashian’s, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Kathy Griffin, Lisa Kudrow, Sylvester Stallone, Elton John, and dozens of other regulars. The highlight of this location was always seeing the legendary Don Rickles holding court at his favorite table. His intimate posse often included Barbara Sinatra.
Catch Los Angeles. Just check out TMZ to see the many famous faces in and out of this popular penthouse restaurant.
