Dance Downtown Los Angeles 2018

Summer may be winding down now that Labor Day has passed, but the days are still warm here in Los Angeles. And let’s be honest, this city doesn’t get that chilly in the “off season” anyway. We never slow down here, so if you find yourself visiting just after the summer frenzy, don’t fret when trying to extend your vacation with shorts and tank tops weather time, there is still plenty for you to do and explore around the city.

Since summer continues here well beyond Labor Day, there are some ongoing summer events that have a few more nights before they take a break for the chillier Autumn evenings. This includes the Dance Downtown Los Angeles 2018 series put on at Grand Park. Throughout the summer they offer free nights to dance in the park with friends from all over, touting different themes every month. Not so sure of your dance moves? The event is for all — people who are in the side-stepping moves to seasoned veteran dancers. They even have a few people there to teach you new moves from the genre they have for the evening so you can feel like a pro (keep this on your radar for next year if you ever wanted to feel like a Bollywood Star!) This Friday, September 7th, they end their season with an evening of dancing to the beats of the 90’s. A nice little throwback to end the summer.

The event takes place right in the heart of Grand Park DTLA by the Civic Center and is free for everyone. The hours for the event go from 9 p.m. to Midnight, so you will have plenty of time to get some good use out of your favorite dancing shoes (may we suggest some Doc Martens if you want to keep with the true 90’s theme).
