The real draw to our city is Old Hollywood and tales of the Golden Age. Even if you aren’t the biggest fan of the classics you have to admit that those stories from years ago are what started all of the hype for our city today. One of the best places to truly experience the feel of the Los Angeles yesteryear is none other than the historic Clifton’s Cafeteria in Downtown Los Angeles.
Recently restored to its original splendor, Clifton’s is now the last cafeteria left in the city from the golden era age of cafeteria style dining. Don’t let the word “cafeteria” confuse you with school lunches and stark rooms … Clifton’s offers one of the most warm and inviting dining environments in the city. Throughout the space are trees, crystal caverns, a stone chapel, and of course – top quality food! Rumor has it the historic cafeteria is what helped inspired Walt Disney’s designs for his own whimsical wonderland – Disneyland!
When it comes to food, Clifton’s has it all – from roasted meats to pastas and pizzas. Even the pickiest eater will find something they love. Desserts galore and fun snacks are available all for you to pick and choose from. You can dine quick or choose to hang out and enjoy an evening at one of their bars. Yes, bars! They have multiple!
Clifton’s multi-level structure allows for a great evening experience after you finish your dinner. Upstairs you will find a great spots for drinks, and with their lively weekends a great place to bust out a few moves on the dance floor.
The multi-venue spaces within the venue include The Monarch, The Brookdale, The Gothic Bar and Pacific Seas.
