It happens twice a year, and now is one of the times for foodies to unite. It’s Discover Los Angeles and dineL.A. 2019! This first experience takes place January 11-25. It’s your chance to experience special menus from over 400 restaurants in and around Los Angeles.
For lunch, look for 2+ courses for $15, $20, $25, and $35.
For dinner, 3+ courses will be $29, $39, $49, $59, and $99 which would be part of the dineL.A. Exclusive Series.
It is the perfect opportunity to revisit one of your old faves, or try something completely new. Remember, Los Angeles is incredibly diverse, so look for awesome options in Chinese, Mexican, Peruvian, traditional American, Thai, Japanese, Russian, Brazilian, and Armenian.
Check out this sample menu from Wolfgang Puck’s wildly popular restaurant, CUT Beverly Hills, inside of The Beverly Wilshire Hotel. This would be part of the $99 Exclusive Series:
Start with Treviso and Pear with a Lambrusco Vinaigrette and a 2016 Domaine Baillly-Reverdy Sancerre, followed by Sauteed Maine Diver Scallops with a Perigordine Black Truffle, and a 2014 Antinori Antica Chardonnay. The main course is called “Duo of the Cut,” which is Braised Short Rib with Soft Polenta, Roasted Carrots and Turnips, along with a Dry Aged New York Steak and Lyonnaise Potatoes, with a 2015 Dominio de Pingus Tempranillo. Dessert will see a Milk Chocolate Cremeux and a 2008 Cockburn’s Late Bottled Vintage Port from Portugal.
$50 Sommelier Wine Pairing Available.
Yes, there’s some words in here that may sound a bit confusing to most folks that aren’t professional chefs or food critics, but trust us, CUT is amazing and so is everything on their menu.
Some other standouts include the burger restaurant, 25 Degrees, at The Roosevelt Hotel, Avec Nous for French food at L’Ermitage Hotel, Blue Plate Taco in Santa Monica, Cattle and Claw (burgers and all-things lobster) at The Sofitel, Cecconi’s on Melrose Avenue, Terra at Eataly L.A., Granville in West Hollywood, and multiple Sugarfish restaurants for great sushi.
Some of our personal old school spots like The Grill on The Alley in Beverly Hllls, The Smokehouse in Burbank and The Tam O’Shanter also have special menus for dineL.A.
