If you’ve ever been to Eataly in places like Chicago or New York, you know just how amazing this marketplace is for lovers of all things Italian. You can now enjoy Eataly L.A. Westfield Century City.
Century City is this unique stretch of high rise buildings that some confuse with our Downtown Los Angeles. It’s just west of Beverly Hills, and sits on a major chunk of property which was once the backlot for the adjacent Fox Studios. Westfield shopping mall is still undergoing a massive 1-billion+ renovation with many new stores and restaurants, and we’re lucky enough to get Eataly L.A. as part of their upgrade.
Eataly is a mulit-level marketplace with a handful of great restaurants mixed in amongst the cheeses, wines, and fresh fish. Check out La Pizza e La Pasta for authentic Neapoletan pizza, and delicious al dente pasta. If fish is your thing, look into Il Pesce Cucina by chefs Michael Cimarusti, and Donato Poto. There’s also La Piazza in the heart of the 2ndfloor.
Want an amazing meal with a view? Head to the rooftop restaurant of Terra Wood Burning Italian Grill. Sit back and enjoy a cool summer breeze and dine on seasonal ingredients cooking over burning flames, Have a cocktail or a premium glass (or bottle) of Italian wine. While most places are first-come, first served, Terra does make reservations and they are highly recommended, especially for the upcoming Father’s Day weekend.
If you don’t want to dine on site, browse the marketplace for fresh pasta, produce, wines, cheeses, olive oil, and meats to take home. They even have kitchen housewares to assist in your authentic meal preparation.
If nothing else, walk through this exciting place and take in the atmosphere. You can even grab an espresso, a baked good, gelato and some fine chocolate or sweet, and continue on your way for incredible shopping and celebrity watching at Westfield.
Glitterati Tours of Beverly Hills has added Eataly to our LA INFO page on things to do, places to dine, and hotels to stay at while in Los Angeles.
