The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

Winter is still going strong and lingering this year in other parts of the country (we feel for those of you in the midwest with April snowstorms), so people flying into our sunny state may need an extra dose of color to bring back the life into some cold bones. Luckily, thanks to our California sunshine and a little help from our friends at the Carlsbad Ranch, there is plenty of color for anyone tired of seeing blankets of white.

Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch

The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch is in season and running through May 13th. The ranch is just a short drive from Los Angeles and makes for a perfect afternoon with beautiful scenery. Who doesn’t love an ocean view from rolling fields of flowers? If the views aren’t enough, the venue offers a plethora of events and activities throughout the month it is open. Think mazes, artist gardens, old car showings, and live music. Crafting days and floral arrangement classes keep you busy throughout the day! One of the best parts of this springtime gem? —throughout the month are sunset wine tastings, and after hours music that leaves you with a perfect sunset viewing excursion! Each weekend often has a different feel – from jazz to bluegrass – the venue has live bands playing music for everyone to enjoy.

Even around Los Angeles right now, we’ve got rolling green hills with plenty of wild flowers due to our late March rains.  It won’t last long as we get into the warmer weather, and back into water conservation over the summer months.  Enjoy it now by booking a late Spring tour with Glitterati Tours of Beverly Hills.  Even in the dry months of June, July and August, the natural brown scrub in our foothills can be a thing of beauty.
