Grand Reopening of The Getty Villa

Exciting News for Art and History Enthusiasts

The much-anticipated reopening of The Getty Villa in Pacific Palisades has been announced. June 27th, 2025, is the date when this iconic institution will once again welcome visitors. Nestled just south of Malibu, The Getty Villa has been closed for several months following the devastating fires that swept through Southern California in early January.

While the museum’s priceless collection remained unharmed during the fire, the surrounding area suffered significant damage. Over 1,300 trees were lost on the grounds alone, and extensive efforts have been made to restore the villa’s tranquil environment.
