Unique Ice Cream Flavors in L.A.

Unique Ice Cream Flavors in L.A.

SALT AND STRAW: This may be the cities most popular and well known spot, and it’s for good reason. Salt and Straw’s many locations all over town have some of the most interesting and surprising flavors for you to try. The shop (as all ice cream shops should), smells delicious and the ice cream is top notch. And while we may rag on Starbucks for starting fall a bit early… They do have a pretty interesting menu for their fall line up. But you don’t know it till you try it! Carmela Ice Cream: This little ice cream shop gets out our vote for the cutest shop in town! Everything about the place is adorable and pleasant and their ice cream is amazing.  They also have great sorbets for anyone that needs to avoid dairy. With waffle cones made in house in front of you, you can be sure everything from ice cream to cone is fresh and delicious. Another bonus of this Los Angeles based chain?  They offer events like ice cream making classes and movies for the family at select locations. Check them out here: http://carmelaicecream.com/.

Bennett’s Ice Cream: If you are looking for a classic mom and pop shop that is family owned look no further than Bennett’s Ice Cream. You’ll find it tucked away in the corner at The Original Farmers Market right next to The Grove L.A. You can grab a bowl, cone, or milkshake. It’s been in the family since 1963 and is still booming for a reason. If it aint broke, don’t fix it, right? Check them out for a quick treat in between your LA shopping sprees.
