Jazz Nights at LACMA in Hollywood

Get your picnic baskets ready! Spring has sprung and summer is fast approaching which means one thing – a Glitterati Tours favorite is coming back – Jazz Nights at LACMA Hollywood (Los Angeles County Museum of Art!)

While we may not get blasted with snow like the northern States, chilly California evenings are turning into beautiful sunset nights and the city doesn’t like to sleep anymore. Enjoy your Friday evenings with a free jazz concert on the grounds. Located just behind the Los Angeles iconic Urban Light exhibit, you will find a perfect relaxing evening at the museum from sunup to sundown. This venue allows for picnics at their outdoor events, so bring family and friends with a spread to share! The best part? Alcohol is allowed. Bring out your favorite vino… we recommend a nice white with the hot days ahead.

If you aren’t feeling like packing your own picnic, stop by Ray’s and Stark Bar. Sitting right next to all the action, you can get a great drink, appetizers, and have an optimal view of the music performances.

Arrive early to pick your spot – it’s a popular event for a reason! LACMA also offers plenty of outdoor art pieces that are perfect for your Los Angeles trip Instagram posts.

The first Jazz night of the season is on Friday, April 26th, 2019, and features Jazz Master and multi-Grammy Award winning composer and arranger Bill Holman. No tickets necessary (IT’S FREE!) but you can check out this season’s lineup at the LACMA website.

LACMA is just one of the popular locations along Museum Square in Los Angeles.  Also, look into The Broad Contemporary, The Resnick Pavilion, The Petersen Automotive Museum (a must for car lovers), and The La Brea Tar Pits.  Coming soon:  The Academy of Motion Pictures Museum!
