Levitated Mass starring the rock

The rock has left the quarry!  A 340-ton rock is taking a long slow journey from Riverside into the Miracle Mile District of Los Angeles on a custom-built transporter.  “Levitated Mass,” is a massive sculpture by the artist Michael Heizer, and it will sit next to the Resnick Pavilion at the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) campus at the corner of Wilshire and Fairfax.  Considering the rock transporter will pass through 22 cities at a max of 5 miles an hour, the estimated delivery is scheduled for March 10th.  Just one more exciting thing to see on a tour of Hollywood!
