Los Angeles Halloween events are everywhere — at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Universal Studios, Disneyland, West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval, and the tourist and local favorite, Farmers Market L.A.
From The Original Farmers Market L.A. website:
Fall is officially here and we have great fun in store for all! Join us in celebrating 81 years of great family fun with our longest-running event, Fall Festival, on Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18. Did you know Fall Festival started just a few months after the Market opened in 1934? Originally created to celebrate the fall harvest, Fall Festival featured a parade with floats built by Market tenants to promote their businesses. You may not see a parade this year, but you will see our merchants dressed in costume and the Market and stalls fully decorated – a popular tradition since 1934!
Fall Festival will also feature a free animal-friendly petting zoo, Artisan Alley featuring pumpkin and leather carving, wool spinning, basket weaving, horseshoeing demonstrations, live country/western bands and much more!
And, of course, Fall Festival isn’t complete without our world-famous pie-eating contests. Watch from the sidelines or compete to be the Fall Festival pie-eating champion! Brave enough to take the challenge?
