Los Angeles Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park
Fall isn’t just for pumpkin spice latte’s and jumping in piles of leaves; especially because it’s too warm for latte’s and there aren’t many piles of leaves to jump into. Luckily enough, if there is one thing Los Angeles does know how to do right, it’s Halloween and all Halloween related activities. One of the best — The Haunted Hayride!
If you find yourself visiting and needing an evening activity this October, the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is a must for any fan of all things spooky. What’s Halloween without a good scare, right?
Every year the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is reinvented with a new theme – even the Los Angeles native cannot be prepared for the frights ahead and resist a stop at the now steadfast traditional attraction. This year’s theme? CLOWN. A ride on their wagon may just rival the fright factor you will get from a screening of IT at the cinema.
Of course Halloween is nothing without a haunted house or two – luckily the Hayride expands beyond the wagon. A full evening can be enjoyed at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park, as it has attractions such as “The House of Shadows”; a darkened maze through an old home, “Purgatory”; where snacks, drinks, “scary-go-rounds”, and creepy theater shows are performed. To top it off, every night you have the chance to trick or treat on location – but be careful, these spots don’t have your typical tenants waiting to give you treats.
If you dare to stop by, the Haunted Hayride is open from September 29th-October 31st. Tickets are on sale here at Los Angeles Haunted Hayride. *Insider tip* If you want to make the most of your evening – purchase ahead and go for the VIP tickets to skip some of the wait times!
Happy Fright Nights!
