LOS ANGELES MARATHON

For the 2nd year in a row, Los Angeles has a marathon to be proud of.  Even though this is our 26th annual, the 2 year old route is a huge improvement.  Over 30,000 runners this year will pass through most of our major landmarks and communities.  Starting at Dodger Stadium, they’ll head into Chinatown, and Little Tokyo.  From there, they make their way into Silverlake and Hollywood as they run past Grauman’s Chinese Theater, The Walk of Fame and the Kodak Theater.  My friends are I, will walk up the street and cheer them on as they make their way down the legendary Sunset Strip here in West Hollywood.  They head south into Beverly Hills and go down Rodeo drive and veer right towards the ocean and finish at the Santa Monica Pier.  It’s raining on the runners this morning, but L.A. still shines with this fantastic new route.
