Want a little family-friendly New Orleans fun here on the West Coast? Check out the 29th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration at The Original Farmers Market in Los Angeles. The event takes place on February 10th and 11th and Fat Tuesday, February 13th.
Festivities start on Saturday the 10th from 10-12N with the 11th Annual Mutti Gras Pet Parade and Costume Contest. This is a must for dog-lovers. The Farmers Market has partnered with their tenant, The Dog Bakery, for this event.
Also on the 10th, look for the strolling Zydeco Mudbugs, and Sean the Stolling Jester working the crowds between 12p-3p. The King and Queen Crowning Decoration along with The Entertainment Group will be entertaining the Plaza between 130p-430p. Eddie Byatos and The Nervis Bros will be on the West Patio between 2p-4p, as well as Bonnie Musique Zydeco from 5p-7p.
On the 11th, Mardi Gras at Farmers Market LA continues with The Mudbug Brass Band from 12p-1p, Shakers for Peace and Joy with Kids for Peace 12-3p, California Feetwarmers from 230p-430p, and Lisa Haley and the Zydekats from 530p-730p.
Fat Tuesday will include Eddie Baytos and The Nervis Bros on the West Patio from 6p-9p.
