Outdoor Summer Music Venues in Los Angeles!
There are a few things Los Angeles never runs short of – two of them being beautiful weather and music. The summer solstice may have just passed, but there are plenty of long days ahead to enjoy. Lucky for those in L.A. during this time the city offers many places to listen to live music during the evening.
Jazz Night on Friday evenings at the Los Angeles’s Museum of Contemporary Art (LACMA) is a favorite among our staff here at Glitterati. The evening offers a beautiful view of the famous “Urban Light” exhibit which features two hundred and two cast iron street lamps from historic Los Angeles. Nearby is the restaurant Ray’s and Stark if you are looking for a bite to eat and drinks – but feel free to pack a basket and picnic along side of the grass. Bring your wine – this free outdoor concert is drink friendly.
Just a few city blocks away from LACMA is The Grove shopping center which also has their own free music to share with you this summer. For the month of July they have their Summer Concert series every Wednesday night. Happen to find yourself there on a Friday evening? Head over to The Original Farmers Market. The West Patio has live music from 7 to 9 p.m. A perfect way to relax after a shopping spree.
Thursday evenings offer another free concert on the West side of the city. Sunset Concerts can be seen at the Skirball Cultural Center. Arrive early and make a day of it – check out the museums and grab a bite to eat before settling in the courtyard for the show.
There’s never a shortage of fun events in L.A. – Check back with Glitterati Private Tours of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills for more updates!
