Pali Wine and Porto’s Bakery in Los Angeles

It’s time for sandwich and wine lovers to unite! Two of Southern California’s most beloved companies are coming together to take the wine and cheese pairings up a step – -sandwiches can be fancy too!

Southern California definitely has its fair share of “famous” eats and must-have drink stops. Two venues on this ever-growing list is the classic and crazy popular Porto’s (a cafe bakery with some of the best food around), and the new(ish) to town wine tasting room from the Pali Wine Co. This Sunday the two are coming together to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Downtown Los Angeles Pali Wine tasting room.

Pali Wine Co Los Angeles

Pali Wine Co Los Angeles

Tucked away in the heart of the Arts District in Downtown Los Angeles (aka DTLA), The Pali Wine Company will be kicking off their evening with a live DJ and giveaways throughout the event. Each $25 ticket gets attendees a glass of Pali wine, one of two new Porto’s salads, dessert from the bakery (mini milk n’ mango cake or guava creme brûlée) and the choice between a mini guava pulled pork sandwich, mini medianoche, or potato ball trio.

The Downtown tasting room is the newest addition to the Pali Wine tasting family. The company as a whole is nearing their 15 year anniversary, and prides themselves on their Southern California made wines. Starting originally with a Pinot Noir, they have expanded their collection to whites as well. They wines are made only from grapes in California, so a trip to their tasting rooms are a great way to support the local economy. Check out their current available wines here on their wine page.

Potato Ball at Portos LA

As for Portos?  Their sandwiches and baked goods speak for themselves. It’s rare to drive by the Burbank/Glendale/West Covina/Buena Park locations and not see a line out the door. This event could be the perfect way to get some of their treats without the wait! Definitely check out all their goods (preferably at the cafe…)., but also on the Porto’s Bakery website.
