The office for Glitterati Tours is a short walk to Hollywood Boulevard. Helicopters have been flying over for days now watching the action for the huge Star Wars premiere this evening. A few of us took a stroll down the boulevard to check out the set up. Every 20 feet there are metal detectors screening visitors and attendees.
This same stretch is used for the Academy Awards every year, and the street preparation for this Star Wars premiere exceeds the Oscars by a long shot. Privacy tarps are everywhere, and a white tent stretches 4 city blocks.
Red carpets stretch along Hollywood Boulevard and spider their way into Grauman’s Chinese Theater, The El Capitan Theater and The Dolby Theatre.
It was 38 years ago that the original Star Wars showed at what was briefly called Mann’s Chinese Theater.
