Visitors Guide to Rose Bowl Game and Parade

If coming to Los Angeles, one must have a visitors guide to the Rose Bowl Game and Parade happening in Pasadena.  This year, both will take place on Monday, January 2nd, 2017, as opposed to the typical New Years Day.  That’s because the Tournament of Roses that puts on both events has a “never on a Sunday” tradition dating back to 1893.  This was done to assure that horses hitched outside churches wouldn’t be spooked during events.  There’s no more horses (other than those in the parade itself), but the tradition continues.
