Visitors Guide to Rose Bowl Game and Parade

If coming to Los Angeles, one must have a visitors guide to the Rose Bowl Game and Parade happening in Pasadena.  This year, both will take place on Monday, January 2nd, 2017, as opposed to the typical New Years Day.  That’s because the Tournament of Roses that puts on both events has a “never on a Sunday” tradition dating back to 1893.  This was done to assure that horses hitched outside churches wouldn’t be spooked during events.  There’s no more horses (other than those in the parade itself), but the tradition continues. There will still be plenty of celebrating on New Years Eve along Colorado Boulevard with visitors and parade watchers grabbing the best seats along the route for the parade

Holiday Concerts at The Walt Disney Concert Hall

Deck the Hall!  Holiday Concerts at The Walt Disney Concert Hall in DTLA Like bears, it’s that time of year when the L.A. Phil leaves the great outdoors (The Hollywood Bowl) and move indoors (The Walt Disney Concert Hall). Both are incredible venues and have become true landmarks in the city of Los Angeles.  The Hollywood Bowl opened in 1922, and the Frank Gehry designed Walt Disney Concert Hall opened in 2003.  The Bowl holds about 18,000 music lovers, while the hall holds a cozy 2300 guests. Is it Safe To Visit Los Angeles with the Recent Election?

Is it safe to visit Los Angeles after the recent election that took place on November 8th, 2016?  Simply, yes!  This is the furthest thing from a political blog post that you’ll find from the millions of political commentaries on the internet, but Glitterati Tours of Beverly Hills wants to keep potential visitors up-to-date on ALL information in and around the city of Los Angeles. America has obviously had quite the week.  Approximately half the country is celebrating, while the other half of the country is scratching its head.  Again, just the facts, with zero judgement.  It’s exactly what America and the world has seen and heard about over and over again via radio, podcasts, television and of course, social

Spend the Holidays in West Hollywood

Spend the holidays in West Hollywood!  It’s never too early to start spreading the word about all that our city has to offer over the holidays.  Expect about a dozen blog posts between now and New Years.  We’ll share our favorites and tidbits we discover along the way.  In the meantime, here’s a handful of hotel options from our friends at The West Hollywood Visitors and Marketing Bureau: The holiday season is all about giving, celebrating, loving and, most importantly, watching your boss go Gangnam-style on the dance floor after three glasses of bubbly. Holiday season means holiday parties–from office to personal–and the better the venue, the brighter the memories. Put another shot of brandy in the eggnog and cut

Catch Restaurant in West Hollywood for Celebrity Sightings

Catch Restaurant in West Hollywood has only been open a month, but has already solidified itself as a favorite for the A-Lister celebrity crowd.  It sits at the corner of San Vicente and Melrose, just south of the beautiful West Hollywood Library, and across the street from The Pacific Design Center.  A host or hostess greets you on the lower level entrance and escorts you to the rooftop bar and restaurant.  The decor and ambiance are very inviting, especially during sunsets. The menu is eclectic with a focus on sushi and seafood.  We recently had a fantastic sample of their offerings, including the roasted beet salad, and their jumbo shrimp from the cold menu.  We also had their Tartare Trio

Private Sightseeing Tours in L.A. for November, December

With Halloween in our rear-view mirror, it’s time to concentrate on private sightseeing tours in L.A. for November and December.  We can normally expect things to slow down a bit after summer for September and October, but private tour requests have been pretty consistent.  This goes for November as well, with dozens of advanced bookings already on our Glitterati Tours calendar. Booking private sightseeing tours in L.A. in advance is always recommend.  Just like one would book their restaurants, hotels, VIP studio tours, and museums. November bookings can be somewhat hit and miss with some days fully booked and some days wide-open.  That changes completely come the final two weeks of December and into January.  It’s obviously a very busy

Tours Departing from LAX Airport

With our annual review complete, Glitterati Private Tours of L.A. is once again proud to provide tours departing from LAX Airport.  We are one of the few private tour companies in LA offering sightseeing opportunities directly from the airport.  This is ideal for guests with extended layovers that wish to see  a bit of our city before their continuation flights to other locales. We can pick up guests directly at their terminal. Airport regulations understandably require a rigorous protocol for tour operators and transportation companies.   This ensures a visitor’s safety as well as security issues and traffic flow. Depending on a guests’ sightseeing requests, we do have a 3 to 3.5 hour minimum with any tours departing from LAX
