Pop SK8 with Roller Skating in Los Angeles

Retro is always in, and oldie but goodie activities always seem to roll back around. This summer Los Angeles is “rolling” back a classic pastime in the vein of pop up outdoor roller rinks. PopSk8 originated in Valencia, and has been booming with success. The venue decided not to contain its fun to one area and will be bringing the old school activity to a pop up in Culver City starting July 6th and rolling through August 4th (okay… we’ll stop with the rolling puns now). L.A. County Fair in Pomona, California

As a kid growing up in the Pomona/LaVerne area, this time of year meant two things – going back to school, and the L.A. County Fair.  The tough school part was always softened as our teachers gave every single student a free ticket to attend the fair that was always provided by the venue. It’s that time of year again.  The L.A. County Fair has been wowing folks since 1922.  A lot has changed over the years, but the fair still has something for all age groups.  A few attractions this year include The Millard Sheets Art Center Presents Alt 66, Haunted 66, eSports Gaming World, Retro City Arcade, The Mother Road (Exploring all 8 states tied to Route 66),

Batman Exhibit at Hollywood Museum

Batman Exhibit at The Hollywood Museum _____________________ There’s a handful of popular museums near the corner of Hollywood and Highland.  You’ve got Madame Tussauds, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Musuem, Guinness World Records Museum, The Hollywood Wax Museum, The Museum of Broken Relationships and even The Museum of Death (about ½ mile down Hollywood Boulevard).  One of our favorites and certainly of our guests, is The Hollywood Museum. The Hollywood Museum is located in the historic Max Factor Building.  It’s where Max made up the leading ladies with the latest and greatest in hair and makeup.  Joan, Bette, Marilyn and Lucy all spent time in his chairs.  See all the incredible screen history here with real props, sets, and costumes.
