A big part of our job at Glitterati Tours of L.A. is acting as a concierge on wheels for the best that our city has to offer. Forget what you’ve heard —not all native Angelenos (Los Angeles natives) live on kale, celery, and wheat germ. We eat and drink everything! Proof of this is that there’s a gym on every corner, and our hills are dotted with fantastic hiking trails. A good steakhouse in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles can be found everywhere. Luxurious Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles
The luxurious Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles is so much a part of the glamor and mystery of Hollywood folklore, probably because of its lush and private grounds. As one of the Glitterati guides, we sometimes are requested as walk on guides for international guests who already have a driver or car. I spent two days with an amazing family visiting from Europe, who had a wish list of places they wanted to see, including the Getty Center, Venice Beach, and El Pueblo de Nuestra Senora la Reina de Los Angeles, del Rio Porciuncula, which translates to The Town of Our Lady the Queen of Los Angeles, the river Porciuncula. Of course I shared many more amazing destinations, sights
Fall and Winter Tours of Los Angeles and Beverly Hills
Wow! What a summer for Los Angeles and Beverly Hills with Glitterati Tours. We were nearly booked solid from mid-June through mid-August. Many days, we turned down about a dozen tours from referrals, international travel agents, and our concierge family at many of the local 5-star hotels throughout Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Santa Monica. August has been incredibly unpredictable. Thus far, in like a lion and out like a lamb. As we write this, the end of August has dropped off we pre-bookings. As school schedules change year by year, this inevitably changes the tourism season. Years ago, it was almost guaranteed that September 15th was a back-to-school date nationwide. Not the case anyone. This summer,
Summer Weather in Los Angeles
It’s about to get hot. In the next few days, weather in Los Angeles will heat up to over 100 degrees. That’s 38 degrees celsius for many of our international travelers. While it’s going to be warm here, our neighboring Palm Springs (about 2 hours east) will hit a staggering 120 degrees. Typically our heat is dry, but some clouds are predicted, so it can be a bit muggy with the humidity, but nothing compared to areas typically warm and humid like New York, Hawaii and Florida. This current forecast is somewhat rare for June, but can be the norm in July, August and September. What to do on a hot weather day in Los Angeles? If your hotel or

Hollywood Studio Tours and the Opening of Harry Potter
It’s officially open! The Wizarding World of Harry Potter had their massive star-studded grand opening yesterday, April 7th, 2016. Plan ahead and expect crowds. Obviously, weekdays should be better than weekends. Glitterati Tours is often asked if we have access to get inside the legendary lots to provide studio tours. The answer is no. All the studios that provide tours have their own professional guides and docents. They all do an amazing job, and we’ve listed a few of the most popular studio tours below. We remind guests that once inside the gates of these amazing venues, one doesn’t need a private tour company on standby collecting hourly rates. Again, studio guides take over, and at places like Universal, much
Book Your Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Tours Now for Summer
Glitterati Tours just finished up a record breaking Spring Break for Beverly Hills tours and private excursions around Los Angeles. As a smaller tour company with a #1 rating on TripAdvisor for Activities and Tours, we were swamped with requests. There was many days in March that we weren’t able to accommodate the large number of last minute requests for private Beverly Hills tours. A reminder that we work not only with guest referrals, but also VIP agents, travel agents, and of course, our LACA (Los Angeles Concierge Association). Quite a few bookings come from these 5-star hotels throughout Hollywood, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, as well as several beach properties down in Santa Monica. While this post is somewhat
