Los Angeles Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park
Hard to believe that we’re already 1/3 of our way into the most incredible time to be in Los Angeles… the month of October! There’s so many things to do and experience during the 31+ day celebration of Halloween (most events are now starting mid-September, and ending early November). One of our local favorites is right here in the Central Park of Los Angeles, Griffith Park. It’s called the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, and it’s been going strong for 10 years. Approximately 3000 acres were donated to the city by Griffith J. Griffith in 1896, and it’s continued to grow in size ever since. All of us native Angelenos take advantage of the numerous hiking trails throughout the park. Most are dog-friendly, as are most things in Los Angeles. Many of the best hiking trails start at or near the gem of the park,
Tour Vehicles for Our Los Angeles Tour Company
Glitterati Tours, a Los Angeles tour company, has made a change to their fleet of vehicles. Recently, we parted with our brand new custom van. We did this because of the recent weight enforcement in the Hollywood Hills (all areas surrounding the Hollywood sign) on any vehicle over 6000 lbs. Larger vehicles were then forced towards Mulholland Drive and The Griffith Park Observatory for views and photos of the Hollywood sign, and this wasn’t always popular with guests. Tourism is definitely on an upswing in Los Angeles, and we predict that other neighborhoods—especially the residential areas in Beverly Hills—will follow suit, as homeowner associations file complaints with their city because of the endless flow of van traffic and oversized bus-type
