It’s fall – and even if you are over all of the ads for pumpkin spiced everything, there are some perks that come along with the season. While it doesn’t necessarily get as crisp as other parts of the country, Los Angeles does have the advantage of great weather that allows for all of the fall outdoor activities without some of the chill. One of the best to enjoy? Cinespia at Hollywood Forever Cemetery. Cinespia offers outdoor film experiences all over Los Angeles, but one of the most popular locations is the Fairbanks Lawn at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. With October just around the corner, it is the perfect setting for a fall movie – especially any of the creepier

Los Angeles Halloween Things to Do
With only 8 more days to Halloween, we’re in the home stretch to the spookiest time of year. We’ll summarize a few of our past blog posts here, and add a couple more activities that are great for both kids and adults. Los Angeles Halloween Things To Do: -Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park, California, Through October 31st. -Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights Through November 4th. -L.A. Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, Through October 31st. -Dia de Los Muertos at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Saturday, October 27th, 2018. -West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval Street Party and Parade, October 31st, 2018. Another favorite is right here in the heart of the city. It’s year-round, but especially cool this time
West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval 2018
Since 1987, the West Hollywood Carnaval has been the culmination of the many Halloween festivities throughout the month of October. After all, it attracts hundreds of thousands of festive attendees every Halloween night year after year, and that number continues to grow annually. The carnaval or “parade” takes place on Wednesday, October 31st between 6PM-11PM along Santa Monica Blvd. This one-mile road closure stretches between La Cienega Boulevard on the east and Doheny Drive on the west. This is an adult only party. Some of the costumes may be too risqué or show too much skin for young eyes. Plus, there’s areas that bottleneck with foot traffic where you are shoulder to shoulder with people and barely inching along. It’s not
L.A. Dia De Los Muertos 2018
As promised, Glitterati Tours of Hollywood and Beverly Hills will continue to post as much as possible regarding things to do this Halloween season around L.A. As mentioned in previous posts, you’ve got the huge attractions like Knott’s Scary Farm, and Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, but there’s something very unique to our city that’s tough to find anywhere else…a massive celebration in a legendary cemetery. The 19th Annual L.A. Dia de los Muertos 2018 (Day of the Dead Festival) takes place once again inside Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This year’s theme is Coatlicue “Mother of the Gods.” The event takes place on Saturday, October 27th, 2018, from noon until midnight. General admission is $25 per person. Pre-purchase tickets to avoid
Knott’s Scary Farm in Buena Park
Knott’s Berry Farm is a living legend here in the Los Angeles area, going strong as one of the most popular destinations since 1920. Usually known year-round for their thrill rides, stage shows, boysenberries and chicken dinners—it all changes come mid-September through Halloween! For decades, the farm has transformed itself this time of year to Knott’s Scary Farm. Many of us can remember back to the 80’s (they started their Halloween nights as early as ’73) when the park decked itself out in spooky themes. I actually took a mutual friend visiting from Sweden to Knott’s. She had no idea about our Halloween festivities here in the states, or even scary movies. She was frozen in fear. Again, it was the
Los Angeles Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park
Hard to believe that we’re already 1/3 of our way into the most incredible time to be in Los Angeles… the month of October! There’s so many things to do and experience during the 31+ day celebration of Halloween (most events are now starting mid-September, and ending early November). One of our local favorites is right here in the Central Park of Los Angeles, Griffith Park. It’s called the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, and it’s been going strong for 10 years. Just the location is enough to send shivers up your spine, for it’s in the abandoned zoo section of the park (the new L.A. Zoo is just a short distance away). This multi-acre venue is loaded with the creepy and
Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2018
Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights takes place between now and November 3rd. Horror nights happen every Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday…and of course the Wednesday of October 31st. This year is bigger than ever with tons of attractions. The most popular thing to do are the many mazes. 2018 brings visitors 8 different frightening mazes, including the pop culture phenomenon, Stranger Things. Also, check our Trick ‘R Treat (based on the anthology horror film), The First Purge, Poltergeist (based on the 1982 Tobe Hooper/Steven Spielberg classic), Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, The Horrors of Blumhouse: Chapter Two, The Walking Dead Attraction, and Universal Monsters (inspired by the many legendary horror films produced by Universal Studios). Visiting Los Angeles in the Fall
We may be jumping the gun, but Fall is in the air. It could just be wishful thinking because our summer has been a hot one and we’re all excited for some cooler weather — even though Los Angeles is known for being a city without seasons. Temperatures will surely start to cool down. If not in September, then by October/November. It’s also a fantastic time to visit the city. With our holiday weekend next week (Labor Day on September 3rd), locals will enjoy their last big beach excursion before heading back to school and work. That means there will be far less people at the beach come that Tuesday. Glitterati Tours has a beach tour called the “Coastal Access” tour
