L.A. Dia De Los Muertos 2018

As promised, Glitterati Tours of Hollywood and Beverly Hills will continue to post as much as possible regarding things to do this Halloween season around L.A. As mentioned in previous posts, you’ve got the huge attractions like Knott’s Scary Farm, and Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights, but there’s something very unique to our city that’s tough to find anywhere else…a massive celebration in a legendary cemetery. The 19th  Annual L.A. Dia de los Muertos Hollywood

Dia de los Muertos at Hollywood Forever Cemetery In just about 3 weeks, the 18th annual Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival takes place at the amazing Hollywood Forever Cemetery. This is one of the most unique Halloween season activities in all of Los Angeles. This year’s theme is The Legacy of Posada, honoring Mexican artist Jose Guadalupe Posada. His art and images 100 years later, still provide so much of the foundation to this annual tradition. Hollywood Forever Day of the Dead Festival

The famous cemetery Hollywood Forever Day of the Dead Festival, a.k.a., Dia De Los Muertos, always coincides with Halloween.  This truly is one of the most unique events of the season. This year, the event takes place on Saturday, October 29th from 12pm-12am.  A favorite visit during our private tours of Hollywood, the cemetery will be closed to the public a few days prior in order to set up the stages and for the elaborate altar construction for participants in the annual contest. Performing on the main stage this year, look for Mariachi Flor De Toloache, Buyepongo, Julietta Venegas, Alejandro Y Maria Laura, and Mitre.
