We’re barely into the new year, and award season is officially kicking off in Los Angeles. We have back to back ceremonies throughout the city. In just a few short hours, we have The Golden Globes, presented by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. This year’s ceremony will be co-hosted by Sandra Oh, and Andy Samberg. As always, look for the major players in both TV and film. Special awards this year will go to Jeff Bridges for the annual Cecil B. It’s that time of year when actors and actresses survive on a lima bean per day to look their best for the Academy Awards and the many Oscar parties in Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The actual ceremony is on Sunday, February 26, 2017, but look for events all week long. Slim to none, you’ll get close to your favorite stars on Hollywood Blvd, as seating in the bleachers for the red carpet arrivals is already maxed out with their online lottery to fill approximately 700 seats. Star Wars Premiere in Hollywood
The office for Glitterati Tours is a short walk to Hollywood Boulevard. Helicopters have been flying over for days now watching the action for the huge Star Wars premiere this evening. A few of us took a stroll down the boulevard to check out the set up. Every 20 feet there are metal detectors screening visitors and attendees. This same stretch is used for the Academy Awards every year, and the street preparation for this Star Wars premiere exceeds the Oscars by a long shot. Hollywood Boulevard is currently closed down between Orange and Highland, which means we are just days away from Oscars 2015.
