September Things to Do in Los Angeles

September Things to Do in Los Angeles Summer is slowly on the way out the door — even though temperatures hit near record highs in Los Angeles today.  Some of the best months to come to the city are September and October.  Schools are back in session, there is less traffic, and the famous landmarks around Hollywood and Beverly Hills are less-crowded. Of course, there’s also the must-see spots during your stay.  For museum lovers, make your way to The Getty Center in Brentwood, The Getty Villa in Malibu, The Broad in Downtown Los Angeles, LACMA, MOCA, The Griffith Park Observatory, The Petersen Automotive Museum and The La Brea Tar Pits. CicLAvia Meet The Hollywoods

Los Angeles is incredible with its hustle and bustle. While this is great for pumping out entertainment, often times the traffic it brings is not. Try driving around anytime between 7 to 9 in the morning and 5 to 7 in the evening. It gets crazy but you can’t beat the city so we all seem to put up with it. While Metro stations are popping up and being built to hopefully improve the traffic flow, they are doing some great events for the community in the meantime, and on August 18th you can enjoy one! CivLAvia is an event in partnership with Metro that gets the cars off the streets and people walking around exploring. CivLAvia Meet The Hollywoods

Christmas at The Grove Los Angeles

Christmas in Los Angeles has its perks. You can feel your nose, toes, and fingers. You don’t have to worry about blizzards and snow ruining any holiday plans, and there is no running out to your car to start it 15 minutes before you leave anywhere. Really the only downside is we don’t have a natural refrigerator to help keep all the drinks cool when your fridge runs out of space from all of the holiday goodies! That being said, sometimes it doesn’t quite feel like Christmas without a light dusting of snow and a slight crispness to the air. Luckily for us we have zero humidity this time of year and the evening can give you that slight chill

BOLD SUMMER in Beverly Hills

Yes, the daytime highs have been taking their toll.  Most days so far in July and August have been in the high 80’s, 90’s, and even some have topped out at over a 100.  However, there’s few things better than summer nights in Los Angeles. Once that sun dips down over the Santa Monica Mountain Range and drops lower on the horizon in the Pacific Ocean, it’s near perfect.  Plus, there’s no pesky bugs! One still has 2 more weeks to enjoy BOLD in Beverly Hills.  The annual event has businesses open with extended hours throughout the 90210.  Most of this event takes place on Rodeo Drive, but look for much more in the entire Golden Triangle of shopping and dining.
