Most Popular Studio Tours in Hollywood and Los Angeles

Glitterati Tours of Beverly Hills often gets asked if we do studio tours of Hollywood and Los Angeles.  Yes, and no.  We never have access past the gates of these legendary movie and television creative machines.  We do have a tour called “Whirlwind LA, plus Studios.”  This tour gives guests a wonderful city perspective of Hollywood, West Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and puts an extra emphasis on the history of the famous star machines in the birth of the Hollywood movie industry.  This includes the independent studios where Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Mary Pickford, Harold Lloyd and Douglas Fairbanks kicked off their careers. With television threatening the movie industry in the 50’s, we also include famous studios like Desilu, with

Book Your Los Angeles Summer Vacations Now

It’s that time of year when Glitterati Tours reminds potential visitors to book their Los Angeles summer vacations NOW! As mentioned in previous posts, tourism across the United States, as of now, is very hard to predict.  Analysts have noted noticeable cancelations or a slow-down in pre-bookings from some of our biggest markets, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia.  In some cases, this also coincides with a strong dollar, with other world-wide destinations offering up a bigger bang for the buck for travelers. There’s no way to know what summer will bring? It has certainly been an erratic calendar since November.  Even this last month, we had the opposite in scheduling as March came in like a lamb and

Things To Do When It Rains in Los Angeles

Glitterati Tours and concierges throughout the city hear this phrase rarely, but it’s, “we need things to do when it rains in Los Angeles.”  It’s rare, because until just recently, we were going on our 6th year of drought conditions.  Our beautiful Santa Monica and San Garbriel Mountain Ranges, were locked in a brownish color for years. We were far below our already low average of about 14 inches per year… 5 years running.  Even cities like Beverly Hills cut the sprinklers, and their normal bright green medians along Sunset Boulevard turned to dead grass and dust.  There was even a hunt for someone dubbed the Wet Prince of Bel Air, who used 11.8 million gallons of water in a

Private Sightseeing Tours in L.A. for November, December

With Halloween in our rear-view mirror, it’s time to concentrate on private sightseeing tours in L.A. for November and December.  We can normally expect things to slow down a bit after summer for September and October, but private tour requests have been pretty consistent.  This goes for November as well, with dozens of advanced bookings already on our Glitterati Tours calendar. Booking private sightseeing tours in L.A. in advance is always recommend.  Just like one would book their restaurants, hotels, VIP studio tours, and museums. November bookings can be somewhat hit and miss with some days fully booked and some days wide-open.  That changes completely come the final two weeks of December and into January.  It’s obviously a very busy

Booking Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Tours For Summer

We remind guests all the time to book Los Angeles and Beverly Hills tours early, and prior to getting to our city.  Typically, June can be a little slower before the rush of July and August summer vacationers, but not this year.  We exit June with a full calendar–it’s been pretty solid for the last 3 weeks.  We’ve seen guests from India, the U.K., Australia, Sweden, Belgium, Brazil, Spain, Nigeria, China, Japan, Russia, and of course the United States, taking advantage of our slightly cooler (June Gloom) temperatures. We are a smaller Los Angeles private tour company, and intend to keep it that way.  We can focus on what we do best, and specialize in the details that make Glitterati
