Dance Downtown Los Angeles 2018

Summer may be winding down now that Labor Day has passed, but the days are still warm here in Los Angeles. And let’s be honest, this city doesn’t get that chilly in the “off season” anyway. We never slow down here, so if you find yourself visiting just after the summer frenzy, don’t fret when trying to extend your vacation with shorts and tank tops weather time, there is still plenty for you to do and explore around the city. BOLD SUMMER in Beverly Hills

Yes, the daytime highs have been taking their toll.  Most days so far in July and August have been in the high 80’s, 90’s, and even some have topped out at over a 100.  However, there’s few things better than summer nights in Los Angeles. Once that sun dips down over the Santa Monica Mountain Range and drops lower on the horizon in the Pacific Ocean, it’s near perfect.  Plus, there’s no pesky bugs! One still has 2 more weeks to enjoy BOLD in Beverly Hills.  The annual event has businesses open with extended hours throughout the 90210.  Most of this event takes place on Rodeo Drive, but look for much more in the entire Golden Triangle of shopping and dining.

The Original Farmers Market in Hollywood

For over 84 years, The Original Farmers Market in Hollywood has been a local favorite.  Even their tagline is “Meet Me at Third and Fairfax.”  It’s at this intersection in 1934 that local farmers were invited to sell their goods off the back of trucks.  Soon after, merchants and grocers joined in, and opened permanent kiosks or stalls that acted as their restaurants and stores. Since that time, it’s remained a must-visit for neighbors, celebrities, and of course travelers to our city.  Everyone has visited this corner including Frank Sinatra, President Dwight Eisenhower, Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Shirley Temple, and The Beatles. To this day, you can still see your favorite celebs.  In fact, there’s a handful of tables by Bob’s

LA Pride 2018

LA Pride 2018 is less than a week away.  In fact, many consider it pride week, or pride month, so there’s no shortage of festivities.  The big day is Sunday, June 10th.  The day can start with a fun local brunch before the LA Pride Parade hits Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood at 11AM.  The parade usually travels from Crescent Heights to Doheny, so there’s plenty of viewing areas.  If you plan on setting up chairs, arrive early enough to stake your claim. This year’s theme is #JUSTBE.  Everyone is welcome so one doesn’t have to be in the LGBTQ community.  By everyone, just no pets, unless they’re service animals. The actual festival takes place on Saturday, June 9th from
