On this day 65 years ago, a star for director Stanley Kramer was the first laid into the sidewalk for the Walk of Fame. Some contribute this honor to Joanne Woodward, but she was the first celebrity actually photographed with the terrazzo and brass monument. Since then, thousands have followed. The Hollywood Walk of Fame stretches 15 blocks along Hollywood Boulevard, and 3 blocks along Vine Street. In a very short timespan, we’ve had Eric McCormack from Will & Grace, Weird Al Yankovic, Simon Cowell, Jennifer Garner, Niecy Nash, and Jeff Goldblum get their stars. Since the information was released about NSYNC live on the walk of fame, fans from around the world have been buying airline tickets for the opportunity to see the band live and in person.
