It’s official! The Hollywood Bowl has started their 2013 Summer Season with another amazing line-up of the world’s top performers. Opened in 1922, the Hollywood Bowl stage has showcased everyone from Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Cher, Judy Garland, Madonna, The Beatles, and The Beach Boys, to Monty Python.
The Hollywood Bowl current roster for 2013 includes: Josh Groban with the 4th of July Spectacular, Queen Latifah, The Grease Sing-a-Long, Sergio Mendez, Herb Albert, Pink Martini, Chicago: The Musical, Tony Bennett, Diana Ross, Steve Martin, Willie Nelson, Itzhak Perlman, The Sound of Music Sing-a-Long, Earth, Wind & Fire, Abba Fest, Blue Man Group, and the mega-film composer, John Williams.
Pack a picnic, grab your favorite bottle(s) of wine, and enjoy an amazing night under the stars at The Hollywood Bowl! We often say that it doesn’t matter who is performing. It’s really about the experience of sitting outside on a warm summer night and enjoying a diverse crowd of music lovers from around the world. Definitely avoid driving if possible. The Hollywood Bowl has stacked parking and exiting the venue could take a considerable amount of time. There are quite a few bus shuttles with pickup/drop off locations from many popular venues and large parking lots just outside of the area. Many locals prefer to walk to the Bowl. Your reward will be uncorking that first bottle of Pinot Grigio! If possible, purchase a box seat. These seat 4 guests and come with a fold out table, which makes a world of difference when juggling a picnic basket full of fruit, cheeses and desserts.
