Summer may be winding down (even if it’s going to stay sunny here in Los Angeles), but there is still plenty of exciting things to do around the city. Luckily one thing Los Angeles never runs short of is quality entertainment, and often times you can enjoy primetime specials for free.

One of L.A.’s best kept “not so secret” secrets is 1iota. For those of you who are late night fans, reality contest fans, and sitcom fans, you definitely want to check out their site, www.1iota.com
The website gives you the opportunity to apply for free tickets to all of kinds of events around Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York. Events you can get tickets to include some of America’s favorites. Some of the kings of late night such as Jimmy Kimmel and James Corden do their tapings right in Los Angeles and always deliver a fun day of taping. You never know when you might be the lucky guest pulled into the show (Just ask our own guide Colin. This last summer, he got to do a little scene with James Corden after attending a taping!) You can always check and see if a screening of an up and coming film is available, and during Oscar season there is always a few events for post Oscar talk shows as well!
