Dominick’s

The ivy-lined trellises that adorn the gently lit, brick patio at Dominick’s lend an intimate yet festive atmosphere to any meal. During happy hour, on weekdays from 5-7 p.m., Dominick’s offers $4 Piccolini mini-cocktails. Bring a date or just a friend to share their irresistible rice ball and meatball appetizers.

RivaBella

RivaBella

RivaBella

RivaBella, another Italian restaurant, is famous for its spacious patio. At 2,800 square feet, its covered patio is the largest in the city, but you’ll be surprised by just how intimate it feels. The patio at RivaBella is perfect for a night out on the town—a scene where you definitely want to be seen. While you’re there, don’t forget to order Gino Angelini’s Eggplant Parmigiana.

Lucques

Nothing’s hotter than seasonal food these days, and nobody has been cooking seasonal fare longer or better than multi-award-winning Chef Suzanne Goin. Lucques, her first restaurant, has been producing consistently delicious food for 16 years, accompanied by wines chosen by Caroline Styne and cocktails by Christiaan Rollich. Lucques’ verdant covered patio is as charming as its food is delicious, making every meal an immersive experience.

Laurel Hardware

Laurel Hardware

Laurel Hardware

Laurel Hardware, a bar and restaurant located in a former hardware store, has become quite the West Hollywood hotspot. The tastefully lit, tree-lined outdoor patio is as romantic as it is trendy, and you’ll enjoy small plates of modern American classics while resting beneath the trees.

Gracias Madre

Even if no member of your party is vegan, you’ll be refreshed—and amazed—by Gracias Madre’s delicious, all-vegan cuisine. Chef Chandra Gilbert uses ingredients such as cashew cheese and pumpkin seed salsa to create a fresh take on old vegetarian favorites, which pair beautifully with Jason Eisner’s agave cocktails. Enjoy both on Gracias Madre’s beautiful, sweeping patio.

Eveleigh

Patio diners and cocktail aficionados will love sampling new American dishes at the bars and on the distressed wood-lined patio at Eveleigh. When the patio is open, its south-facing views from Sunset Boulevard are breathtaking—when closed, it’s intimate. In either case, the ambiance is unmatched. Serious drinkers will want to visit on Monday’s “industry nights,” when guest bartenders can often be found behind the patio bar slinging drinks from their own custom menus.

La Bohème

Those looking for patio dining with a dramatic flair should look no further than La Bohème, a mainstay in West Hollywood. Despite its Gothic style, La Bohème serves up a classic menu of American fare with Mediterranean influences. The bold prints and majestic chandeliers are eye-catching, but the patio, with overgrown ivy and a view of the wide-open sky, is just as beautiful.
