YULETIDE CINEMALAND LA: Nine Nights of Holiday Cheer at Heritage Square Museum
Tis the season for cozying up and soaking up all of the Christmas music, carols, and movies that you can. While Netflix may be pumping out dozens of new cheesy, guilty pleasure Christmas movies for you to binge on at home, we can’t forget about the classics that bring back all the nostalgia and cheer we look forward to this time of year. This year, Heritage Square Museum is helping us celebrate these classics by teaming up with Street Food Cinema and bringing them to us throughout the month of December with what they are dubbing “Yuletide Cinemaland.”
Holiday movies won’t be the only Christmas cheer to experience. All the halls of the historic Victorian homes will be decked out in Christmas decor. The Hale and Knudsen houses will be available for full tours, while the Perry Mansion will be previewing piano sing-alongs, and a pop up alfresco bar will be set up right alongside the Octagon house. Of course you will need a Christmas photo, so you can have one done at the Christmas tree in Village Square. One last activity before you enjoy your holiday classic? Play an elf and visit their Stocking Stuffer Boutique by the Carriage Barn!
As always, you can count on the best food trucks around with Street Food Cinema putting on a show. Each weekend will feature different trucks and cuisines with options from all over the world. It’s the holidays so you can definitely count on a seasonally spirited twist!
This year’s movies include classics such as A Christmas Story, Love Actually, Elf, and many more! For a complete schedule of their weekend movies, featured foods, and tickets to the event, check them out at their website here: Street Food Cinema. From classic Christmas cartoons to watching a Christmas weekend “Home Alone,” there’s something for everyone!
